Throughout the year, the Jewish community of the greater Palm Beaches will celebrate Israel’s 60th year of statehood with activities held throughout the community.
From music to theater performances, from wine tastings to lectures, enjoy all that Israel has to offer.
Israel at 60 is sponsored by The Robert M. Beren Foundation in cooperation with the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County.
Aluf Israel (Hebrew for Israel Champion) Quiz Show
December - April
The contest, which is for middle school students, consists of three stages: a written quiz, a competition and a final game show.
The winner will receive a roundtrip flight to Israel!

Israel and the World: 60 Years of Innovation and Progress

Cohen Pavilion at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts
Co-sponsored with Federation's Jewish Community Relations Council and the Business and Professions Division.
Panelists will discuss Israel's contribution to medical, security and environmental issues, and business opportunities in these fields.
Panelists include:
Art Silber - former president and CEO of Sterling Bank Baltimore
John Perry - president of the Medical-Enterprise Development Group LLC
Binin Zomer - deputy director of policy and government affairs for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).
Anat Hakim, parter, intellectual property department at Foley and Lardner, LLP, will moderate.

Yom Ha’Atzmaut (Israel Independence Day) Celebration
Thursday, May 8
6 – 9:30 p.m. at the Meyer Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach.
This community-wide extravaganza will include a community march, torch lighting, highlights of Israeli achievements, vendors selling Israeli products, performances by an Israeli dance troupe and local groups and more!
