Federation’s Annual Campaign is the fundraising vehicle that transforms Jewish lives, ensuring a life of dignity for its recipients, and contributing to a valuable and ethical life for its contributors. It provides a world of good to the Jewish people – in the greater Palm Beaches, Israel, Russia and 60 countries around the world. This communal effort helps guarantee:
• The Jewish community’s vulnerable elderly are not forgotten in times of crisis;
• A Jewish life and education for those who want the opportunity;
• Our connection to the global Jewish community and Israel is strengthened.
Among the beneficiaries of Federation’s Annual Campaign dollars:
The Elderly – Federation-supported community programs offer a lifeline of hope and support to keep seniors independent and active, giving them access to a network of friends, providing transportation and meals. Helping Jewish elderly move from isolation to comfort and trauma to healing, both here and in the former Soviet Union, is one of our major commitments.
Young Adults and Families – A wide range of services and activities exist to inform, enlighten and inspire this important group, including preschool and day school programs, Jewish camps, community-wide holiday celebrations, classes on traditions, family life and current events, and outreach.
Israel - With our overseas partners, The American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) and the Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI), the Annual Campaign is one of Israel’s primary sources of funding for social service needs, responding to the most vulnerable populations – children at-risk, the frail elderly, disabled and struggling immigrant populations. For more than 11 years, Federation-funded programs strengthen the connection between the greater Palm Beaches and the people of the Tzahar Region, comprising of Tzfat, Rosh Pina and Hatzor Haglilit. A partnership with the municipality of Ramla, Israel, provides early intervention services to assist Ethiopian-Israeli children from infancy through high school matriculation through the Parents and Children Together (PACT) programs and other initiatives. Programs focus on literacy, enrichment, cognitive development and parent involvement.
St. Petersburg, Russia - Federation shares a special bond with 110,000 Jews living in St. Petersburg. Our initiative, in partnership with JDC and JAFI, includes a full range of educational and welfare services to address the educational and welfare needs of the young and old.
Federation is committed to improving the quality of Jewish life worldwide, nurturing Jewish learning, caring for those in need and ensuring the continuity of our people. We invite you to:
• Help your fellow Jews thrive;
• Strengthen our Jewish community today;
• Build the Jewish world of tomorrow.
